Terrific or Terrible?

Has anyone of you read something about the 13 phrases for living by Gabriel Garcia Marques? Frankly speaking, I too, do not know who he is.

But, when I read the phrases by him, I think that some of the phrases do make sense. Thus, it makes me keen to write something on the 13 phrases for living by him.

One of my favourite phrases is…“There’ll always be people who will hurt you, so you need to continue trusting, just be careful”.

Well I opine the above phrase to be quite true.

In this life, there are many types of people which we would meet and become our acquaintances be it good or bad. We have to admit, we do expect the people whom we meet and know to be nice and kind to us. We want them to treat us fairly, create happiness in our lives as well as to be with us for better or worse.

Unfortunately, life will not always be the way want it to be. There are always bad people who might ruin our days, lives and whatever we have. It might occur to any of us, that we have met back-stabbing friends, unfaithful lovers so on and so forth.

This kind of people would normally break our trust when we started to begin trusting them, breaking our hearts into pieces, happy to see when we are losing, cheating on us and many others.

Well, we should make our lives as wonderful as we can. Make sure that these kinds of people would not become the hurdles in our lives. Tell ourselves that, in the course of living in this world, we will meet terrific and terrible people. When the bad people do something awful to us, we are supposed to say “Thank God for letting me know that they are not meant to be my acquaintances.”

Apart from that, do not stop from trusting people. We need to trust one another. It’s just we need to learn something from that. We need to be more careful in trusting people. After all, not all people in this world are meant to be with us.

This morning during the Professional Practice class, my lecturer asked me "Hafiq, what does candour mean?" and...after a long pause, I think I just don't know the answer. Hehe. (But I had one possible answer in my mind, which is honest) I told a friend who sat next to me, "aku rasa jawapan dia honest la..." What Say you? He replied, Aku pun rasa macam tu.

Then, another friend of mine who brought a dictionary with him to the class said, synonym for Candour is frankness.

So, my guess was right. yay. Haha. So, I hope by now, you all know what does candour mean? Tehehe....

Wedding Bells-Ding Dong

Dearest Bloggers, Today, another cousin of mine would be getting married. I call her kak niza and she’s 25. She’s a very nice and lovely cousin. We had wonderful childhood memories together. I wouldn’t forget that forever. I feel happy that she’ll be marrying the man whom she loves. I pray that Allah will always shower you with his blessings and grant you with happiness. I can’t wait for her baby. Hehe. I feel sad because she’ll no longer be able to hang out as frequent as we always do. Every year, during 1st day of Hari Raya, kak niza, my sister, myself and other cousins would go to the cinema at night. That has become our annual practice since 3 years back. (macam xde keje je…haha) But that has made us, cousins become more and more close to one another. I just want to tell you Kak niza, as well as my other cousins, that I really2 love you people. Happy & Unhappy Valentine's Day

Dear Bloggers, Happy Valentine’s Day to those are in love. Unhappy Valentine’s Day to those who are not in love (is that how you say it? Haha) Never mind. But, it’s known to be a day which is meant to celebrate love and your lover. Well, obviously, I have nothing to celebrate.

I’m quoting this from Avis, “Fiqo, Valentine’s Day is only for lovers, not us. For people like us, it’s just another plain Saturday.” That’s quite true. But I don’t want my day, to be just another day…or plain day. Haha.

Last week my roommate, Adi, went to Bandung for a 3-days-trip.

So I ordered him Amanda Brownie from Bandung. He bought that one for me. Unfortunately, when I wanted to eat it, the brownie is no longer edible.

I can see fungus and whatever-named creatures started to grow. I can no longer eat it. Darn it.

So, to console me, Adi said he would bring cakes from his home. His mother is a good at baking cakes. So he did. He brought me cupcakes.

I got this one cute cupcake, it’s pink in colour and has small heart on top of it. So I decided to take a picture of it, and add some wordings around it. To celebrate my unhappy valentine’s day. Haha.

Adi also bought me a red-shirt from Bandung. Thanx Adi for the shirt.

p/s--> I'll tell update you guys about my 14th February. It wasn't too bad. I enjoyed my day. What about you?

Dance with Me

Dearest friends,

You must be wondering why I posted this entry, “Dance with me”. Well, I used to tango, but now I’ll be dancing alone.

I tried to save the relationship that I had with Boo, but to no avail. Boo asked for a break-up for almost no reason. Make me a hopeless person, and totally upset with what Boo did to me.

Sorry friends, especially Syahril, Amry, Zaidi and Naguib for not telling you guys about this. You will only know about this if you read this enrty. I don’t want you guys to know that I was/am sad. I tried my best to hide my sad face. But sometimes, when Boo crossed my mind, I can’t help with the sad feeling. Yeah, because I am really disappointed with you, Boo.

Someone told me "sometimes you have to learn not to love a person very deeply, because that person might hurt you." I believe that is so true.

Look at you Boo, what have you become. You’re not the person whom I used to love very dearly. You have changed…in many ways. You seemed don’t care about my feelings. Why did you do this to me?

I really hope that you will learn something from this; don’t hurt people when you don’t want to be hurt. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Have a sense of respect, at least.

I’m grateful that many of my friends said that they’re by my side when I need them. I don’t have too worry. Thank you to Irda, Pie, Shils, Mumu, Gedik etc.

Even one of them said “I have lost my respect towards Boo”…. And Pie said “Fiqo, Boo is losing for your greatness. You’re not losing…”

Thank you again guys for your advices and support. But that’s not what I want them to think about you. You’ve become their friend too.

But Boo, all I want you to do is to think what have you done. If you think you’re right, then you might want do it again. But if you’re not, then learn something from it.

Thank a bunch for your loves and everything.
